It’s been a little over two weeks since our launch, and although we’ve already mentioned this on Instagram, we really want to thank you all for reading, liking, sharing and commenting! All this support really encourages us to continue blogging and to come up with even better content.
Throughout these weeks we’ve been trying to pin point the best posting schedule and working hard to fine-tune our style, so we’re super excited to show you guys these little improvements in the coming posts! Although we have some content already drafted, we really want to make sure that we are providing you guys with the content that you want to see, so definitely feel free to leave your suggestions in the comments section.
So, onto the ‘update’ part of this post…
C’S UPDATE
Apart from drowning in school work, personal study and responsibilities (all the boring stuff), I’ve been patiently waiting for the release of the movie Crazy Rich Asians 😍
Crazy Rich Asians is an adaptation of Kevin Kwan’s novel of the same title. The book had been on my ‘to read’ list for months, and after hearing news about the movie I went straight to Audible to download it. This story is full of crazy family dramas, hilariously eccentric characters and their extravagant billion dollar lifestyles. If all this sounds like your cup of tea then I highly recommend picking up a copy of the book or heading to the theatres at the end of the month (August 30th for us Aussies!).
“She just thinks you’re like some unrefined banana, yellow on the outside and white on the inside” Goh Peik Lin (Awkwafina) says as Rachel (Constance Wu) attempts to drink from the bowl that is meant for guests to wash their hands… You can watch this fiasco in the trailer here.
B’S UPDATE
Another semester of uni… Another 12 weeks of fun (jk it’s only week 3 and I’m 30 weeks behind). Above is a photo from Workshop Bros and how cute is the latte art? Almost too cute to drink!
I’ve been watching Queer Eye recently (I binged season one in 2 days…) and I highly recommend it! It’s a reboot of the original series and for those who haven’t watched this, basically these guys known as the Fab Five travel around giving lifestyle makeovers. I didn’t expect to be emotionally invested?! I won’t give away too much, but it’s so much more than a superficial makeover and there are some real tear jerkers (yep I cried my way through season one). I like how it’s so humorous but at the same time has social commentary that’s relevant in the current climate (I’m looking at you episode 3). If you’ve watched this show, let me know your favourite episode in the comments!
Now back onto a lighter note, there’s a few things on my August bucket list that will hopefully be ticked off! Watching Crazy Rich Asians with C, going to Paris Cat Jazz Club (!!!) and maybe checking out a few new brunch places.
Lastly, thank you to everyone again that has supported us, it really means a lot! Starting new things are intimidating but the journey is always rewarding.
Till next time!
Love,
C & B♡
